The Department of Physics, Engineering, & Astronomy offers three programs: the Physics B.S., the Astrophysics Concentration of the Physics B.S, and the Engineering Physics B.S.E.
The Physics B.S. is a versatile degree focused on techniques for solving complex technical problems. It includes 18 credit hours of electives from a variety of disciplines to give students ultimate flexibility in designing their own degree. The Astrophysics Concentration shares the Physics B.S. core, but instead includes 18 credit hours of astronomy and astrophysics coursework for students interested in careers in the space sciences. The Engineering Physics B.S.E. is a design-focused program for students who wish to pursue engineering-related careers.
