Major Requirements that Satisfy General Education

Social work majors are required to select PSYC 1030 and SOC 1010 as their social and behavioral science core. The department suggests MATH 1530 , although we will accept any of the other core math courses. Four of the 8 required hours in natural sciences must be in a biology course with substantive human content. We recommend BIOL 1040 but will also accept BIOL 1010 .
