This minor is excellent for students interested in a career in medicine, law or government, as well as any student interested in moral and political issues and philosophies. You will study the history of moral and political philosophy, current ethical and social theory, and the application of theories to contemporary ethical and legal questions. Students will learn how to understand arguments, write argumentative papers, and engage in rational, productive and civil debate. APSU Philosophy and Ethic classes are usually small, so students get individual attention from their professors.  The Philosophy Club at Austin Peay is very active and holds regular discussions and debates outside of class.
