6-12 Interventionist Concentration

This is an undergraduate licensure program in 6-12 Mild/Moderate Disabilities. Students are seeking to earn a concentration in 6/12 SPED with a focus in Biology, 6/12 SPED focus Math, and 6/12 SPED focus English. The Biology program is 125 hours of which 23 hours are Biology courses, not including the 14 core Biology courses. The remaining courses are university core and education minor courses. The Math program is 126 hours and contains 19 hours of math courses (containing 3 have prerequisite courses) not including three core math courses. The remaining courses are university core and education minor courses. The English program is 122 hours and contains 15 hours of English courses, not including three English core courses. The remaining courses are university core and education minor courses.

The goal of this proposed 6-12 Interventionist concentration is to prepare students to implement interventions across multiple disciplines in the 6-12 grade spans.
