Return to: College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
The Engineering Technology minor is intended for students who have an interest in the practical side of engineering and technology. The minor includes the major’s introductory course, a selection of courses from the major core focusing on design software and on automated technology in industry, and two courses chosen from the upper level courses for the major. This totals 18 credit hours, including 6 credit hours at the 3000-4000 level. Students may select courses that do not require mathematics beyond the level of algebra in the basic university core. This minor would complement degrees in business, technical writing, geosciences, computer science, and other fields that lead to careers with a focus on engineering, technology, and engineered products.
