At the time of audition, B.F.A. Theatre Arts students must submit the following:

  • Resume
  • Headshot
  • Two Letters of Recommendation
  • Up-to-date transcripts that indicate cumulative GPA of high school and/or previous college work.

  • Resume

Students are eligible for Scholarship consideration once they have officially been admitted by the university. Students must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in the major and 2.5 overall GPA to continue in the program. If a student’s GPA falls below a 3.0 in the major, it will result in the student being placed on probation the following semester. Probation may result in ineligibility for casting or other department production positions and will entail being ineligible for departmental sponsored travel. If grades do not improve the student may be released from the program. Continuation in the program requires an Annual Review. Negative reviews may lead to probation or dismissal from the program.

Production Audition Requirements:

  • All B.F.A. Acting students must audition for every main stage play and musical.
  • All B.F.A. Musical Theatre students must audition for every main stage play, musical and dance concert.
  • All B.F.A. Dance students must audition for every main stage musical and dance concert.
  • Although B.F.A. Design and Stage Management students are encouraged to audition for main stage productions, they will often be assigned a design, management, or technical role for a production.

Failure to fulfill these audition requirements will result in being placed on probation and may lead to dismissal from the program.
