The professional chemistry concentration gives students a more in-depth study of advanced courses in chemistry and gives an opportunity for students to engage in an undergraduate research project. This concentration results in certification from the American Chemical Society and prepares students for graduate school in chemistry or biochemistry or to work in an industrial or government laboratory.
